Address Stone Size Guide

Stone Specifications

For the sake of simplification, we round our listed product specs up to the nearest whole number. These whole numbers are not often preferred by builders, however. The table below demonstrates actual specs of delivered address stones.

Numeral/Character Specifications

Some counties, districts, HOAs, etc. have requirements for address marker display specifications. Realaddresstone.com products are designed according to the below measurements. Measurements can vary slightly according to selected font.

Selecting Your Stone

The below information is generally applicable to most instances of address stone installation

Select Stone Thickness/Depth

We sell stones in 3-5/8" and 2" depth.

3-5/8" is the general width of a brick, so these stones are made to fit seamlessly within a brick wall.

2" depth stones are great for must stone facades or thin veneer facades.

Select Stone Height & Width

The height of the Address Stone is most important , with width being left to your preferences.

Notice that Stone A fits nicely within the relative space of 3 stacked bricks. Stone B is too tall, resulting in the bottom bricks being cut oddly across the horizontal plane.

Measure your wall to see if a 5", 6", 8" or 9" stone is the best vertical fit for your exterior.
